I’ve lived in in Fairbanks, Alaska, for most of my life, where the long, dark winters are conducive to indoor hobbies like tabletop games and painting miniatures, or reading old books while eating too much pasta. I started Forge of Ice in late 2007 when I got tired of hoping that someday someone would make certain miniatures that I’d always wanted. After an eye-opening trip to Gen Con, I realized, “Hey, I’m an adult! I don’t need to hope that someday someone will make these miniatures, I can just make them myself!”
My focus is on my own bespoke Lost World setting, “Azor” - a bronze age Mediterranean smorgasbord with dinosaurs, inspired by the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs, H. Rider Haggard, and Arthur Conan Doyle. I do have a few figures in my range from random ideas I’ve had over the years, and in the near future I hope to expand my ranges with some figures inspired by classic animation as well as a Pulp-y Space Opera setting.
